Metrobús line 4

Metrobús is the public transportation system of the Government of Mexico City that connects the airport with downtown, as well as with its points of interest, such as the City Museum, Paseo de la Reforma, Bellas Artes, among others. The buses have spaces reserved for wheelchairs, air conditioning, luggage space and video surveillance cameras.

Route

Line 4 begins its route at the Buenavista Terminal, where you can also access the Suburban Train service and Metrobús routes 1 and 3. The bus passes through the San Lázaro Metro terminal, a trunk station where you will find foreign bus services and subway routes.

At San Lázaro station, you can transfer to metro line 1 and get off at Pino Suarez station, historic center (Zócalo). The total travel time to get here is approximately 1 hour. Another way to get here is to continue on line 4 to the Plaza de la República station, where the Monumento a la Revolución is located. From there, it is possible to walk to the historic center and the Zócalo in a few minutes.

Other important stops on line 4 are: Morelos, Mixcalco, Hidalgo, Museo San Carlos, Mercados de San Juan, Eje Central, Isabel La Católica, Las Cruces, Mercado Sonora.

Fares

The cost of the service is $30.00 per person for a single trip departing from the airport. Payment is made by means of the Metrobús smart card, which can be purchased at the sales and recharge machines located in the pick-up and drop-off areas of the terminals.

- Sunday and holidays: 5:00 am to 0:00 am

Long distance buses

The airport has two bus bays available 24 hours a day, where several bus services operate daily to nearby major cities, such as Cuernavaca, Pachuca, Toluca and Puebla.

In Terminal 1, the bus station is located in the international area, between gates 7 and 8, with access to the first level of Concourse F. The facilities include various services, such as ticket offices, waiting room, internet, fast food outlets, souvenirs, quiet, reading and meeting rooms.

In Terminal 2, the bus bay is located on one side of the building, with access to Concourse D, next to gate 4, and the Domestic Arrivals area. Here, you will find ticket offices, a waiting room, internet access and fast food outlets.
