Buses at AICM

Line 4 Metrobús

The Metrobús is the public transportation system of the Government of Mexico City that connects the airport with the city center, as well as its points of interest, such as the City Museum, Paseo de la Reforma, Fine Arts, among others. The buses have reserved spaces for wheelchairs, air conditioning, luggage space, and video surveillance cameras.

It is one of the most accessible options for traveling between Mexico City International Airport and the city center. Many users consider it an economical alternative to taxis or private transportation services.

Route

Line 4 begins its route at the Buenavista Terminal, where you can also access the Suburban Train service and Metrobús routes 1 and 3. The bus passes through the San Lázaro Metro terminal, a main station where you will find intercity bus services and metro routes.

At the San Lázaro station, you can transfer to metro line 1 and get off at the Pino Suarez station, historic center (Zócalo). The total travel time to here is approximately 1 hour. Another way to arrive is to continue on line 4 to the Plaza de la República station, where the Monument to the Revolution is located. From there, it is possible to walk to the historic center and the Zócalo in a few minutes.

Other important stops on line 4 are: Morelos, Mixcalco, Hidalgo, San Carlos Museum, San Juan Markets, Eje Central, Isabel La Católica, Las Cruces, Mercado Sonora.

  • Security and saturation: During peak hours, users mention that it gets too crowded and there are reports of pickpockets.
  • Does not reach the entire city: It is necessary to make connections with other public transport lines.

"The problem is that with large suitcases it is uncomfortable because there is not enough luggage space."
